What is CWA?
Founded in Hungary on Nov. 3rd, 1991, the Cimalom World Association (CWA) now has members from 24 countries of Europe, the Middle East, Asia, America and Australia. There are professional artists, amateur players, instrument manufacturers, music publishers, scientists of music and many more.

The CWA exists to support and promote cimbalom music in the world and to develop and increase the popularity of this whole family of instruments. It helps members to obtain scores, parts, records and other musical material. It also supports young and beginner cimbalom artists, including concert promotion, international exchange visits, and many other activities.
How much does it cost to become a CWA member?
The registration fee is 10 USD.
The annual membership fee is min. 20 USD, for group min.100 USD.

You must also send the application and the membership fee.

After the receipt of the fee, you will be accepted as a member.

What is CWC?
CWC stands for CWA World Congress. It is held every other year, and depending on the location, the word \"Cimbalom\" tends to be replaced by the Local name, such as \"Hackbrett\", \"Yanqin\", etc.

The first congress was held in 1991 in Hungary. There after, we have had series of congresses.

2: 1993 in Czech Republic
3: 1995 in Slovakia
4: 1997 in Belarus
5: 1999 in Moldova
6: 2001 in Ukraine
7: 2003 in Switzerland
8: 2005 in China

The 9th CWC will be held in Oberamergau in Germany in Oct. 2007.
